mornings

Mornings around here a always pretty much the same. Right when he wakes up Bubu reminds me that he needs his "hot cocoa" and now his brothers have pretty much followed in his footsteps. I make them all some ovaltine, and then they snuggle up on the couch, watch a movie and drink their cocoa. Same thing every morning. The littlest wants to be just like his big brother and copies every thing he does, so he sits right next to him, grabs what ever he can find to cover up (this particular morning it was a rug) and watches the movie with his brother. Atty on the other hand, mister on the go, mister I can't stop for a minute not even to eat, he needs ForEver to snuggle in the morning or he Totally losses it! This can be frustrating if I can't sit there for how ever long he needs that particular morning, cause he will follow me around and cry, and cry and cry until I am about to pull my hair out and run screaming from the house...seriously. I guess since he is too busy for cuddles during the day, he has to make up for it at some point, and really it is the only time this boy sits still for anything.

It's fascinating to see that Bubu, being the oldest, has established a lot of what we do in this family. It started out, when it was just Bubu, me giving him a sippy cup of warm milk tea and putting on Elmo. To distract him from wanting to nurse in the morning, when I was trying to wean him. Now it is a regular morning routine for all of them, except somewhere in there we switched to ovaltine, cause it was easier, and there's no going back now. Chugging his cocoa...he needs his cocoa in the morning just like his mom needs her coffee. We are both pretty nasty with out it!

Look at the silly happy grin on baby's face, he already finished his drink, and is just so happy to sit with his bro on the couch and watch a movie.

Then there is my morning snuggle bug, who is the sweetest thing, as long as I am stationary and he is in my lap for an undisclosed amount of time, totally predetermined by him, and changeable at any moment.

Cute, juicy little baby, I love his snuggly little self in the morning. Footy pj's are the best!

So I am painfully aware that I look horrid in the morning (or when ever), never get enough sleep, and my hair looks retched because I am try to grow it back out again... but I did get a smile out of Atty, which is rare this early in the morning.
***I love mornings with the boys, at least the ones that don't involve screaming and crying. Most mornings are peaceful snuggle times, relaxed for a moment. It is a rare moment in context to the rest of the day...trust me.***

sounds so nice...my ritual involves getting the older two out the door on time for school, then having "floor" time with Caleb! He loves it when Mommy is on the floor...don't they all?! I love the picture of your little one with the rug over him! ha! adorable. :)

Aww, they are adorable! Ira looks so happy and proud to be just like Bubu :) And I've never seen Atty so cuddly before! So sweet!

I wish we had snuggly mornings like that! My mornings are bad for everyone... no one likes to get up before 6 am and get ready to go that early in the morning! lol
