Fall fun

Precious......and absolutely perfect.
So we don't have any leaves in our backyard to rake into piles and jump into. I always loved to do that when I was a kid. My neighbor offered a couple bags of leaves, which I thought was a great idea, my husband... not so much. We dumped them out in the back yard and the kids had a blast, plus I got some cute pictures. Course they didn't stay in a pile for long as the kids ran giggling with joy around the yard throwing handfuls at each other and up into the air. It's a bit of a mess out there now, but boy did it make their fall! Memories matter more then messes right? Now I just have to remind myself of that when it comes time to clean all those leaves up (or remind my husband who will probably be the one to clean them, poor guy).

It really was amazing how long this leaf pile kept them entertained!

Happy Fall!

His name is Stellan and he needs our prayers

Please got to this site and pray for this family. They have been through a lot and their baby boy is in the hospital again. I've been following their life story for some time now and I really feel overcome by sadness that they are going through this yet again, and right before his first birthday which is tomorrow. I can hardly imagine what it is like for his mom...and dad...and siblings.

Clever boy...

Spike was sitting in a box in the playroom when the following conversation occurred.

"Mommy I'm in here, mommy I'm in here, mommy I'm in here"...repeat times a million...

"I see that Spike you're in there"...repeat times a million...

"Mommy I'm in here."

Big sigh..."Spike you're bugging me."

"You're bugging me?"

"No, you're bugging me."

"You're bugging me?"

"No, you're bugging me."

"You're bugging me?"

"Nooooooo, you are bugging me!"

"You're bugging you?"

Hiding smile..."No, You are bugging Me!"

"Ohhhh, I bugging you...giggle, giggle..."

The little stinker is driving me crazy!

His newest thing is to say "What mommy?" when I've told him to stop doing something or it's something he wants to pretend he didn't hear. He will say it over and over again in this innocent voice until I feel I might lose my mind, and then when I am on the brink of insanity and he is about to get in trouble because I refuse to repeat myself one more time he will say "ohhhhhh, okay" like he just got it. Even though I know he heard me the WHOLE time. I need to stop falling for that trick. He's a clever one that boy of mine.

rough patch

My house is a mess. My boys are a handful and then some. I've had one shower and one bath in the last 8 days. I'm tired. I'm sore. I'm edgy and grumpy. My husband had to go back to work on Monday and since I don't like asking people for help, I'm on my own. I managed to do one load of dishes on Monday, nothing on Tuesday, and although my house is falling apart at the seams it's not looking like I have the will to clean today either. My house has never been this messy, and it is driving me crazy, but just adjusting to four kids four and under and the demands of an (extremely sweet and calm) infant is wearing me thin. Seriously if my little strawberry wasn't the angel that she has been I might have had a total melt down by now, but so far I'm still hanging in there. Maybe I should focus on what I have done.
*
I have pushed out a big beautiful baby girl, that was no easy task! I've managed to only freak out on my husband one time in the past week. I've done pretty good at over looking the little stuff that usually drives me crazy (sort of) or at least not addressing it right now. I've managed to feed and cloth and even give my boys a bath this week. I took them all to the library yesterday when we had hit a wall and it was going to get real ugly if we didn't get out. I managed to get them all in and then back out of the library with out much fuss and we even stopped at a park for a bit on the way home. I've managed to spend one on one time with all my boys during the past week to remind them of how special they are to me, and to try to make up for all my grumpy in between.
*
I know this overwhelming part only lasts so long. I know I will be feeling better soon and life will flow the way it is suppose to. I know that I just need to tuck my head down and force my way though this rough patch...but...that knowledge is not making me feel better right now. I'm thinking it might be a crying in the shower sort of day, if I could even take a shower.

The strawberry has arrived.

She's here. She's perfectly beautiful. It's amazing and I'm tired.

Born on the 6th at 3 am, after 31 hours of labor. She's another big baby. I'll tell you all about it, once I can think straight again...did I mention that I am tired?

Belly pictures

Things have been so busy around here that I never got around to getting any good belly pictures. I've always taken pictures of the belly at it's {Biggest} to frame and put up on the wall. I was worried since we are at the very end that I wasn't going to get a good one, so since my bestest buddy was over yesterday, and it actually stopped raining for a moment and the sun came out, I freshened up and we headed out doors. There wasn't really a great spot in my soggy yard for pictures so this was the best we could do, and working with the shadows and the evening sun was a bit frustrating but oh well. We had fun. In some of them I was just being silly. We did end up with some nice ones though. These are the originals, but after I cropped some of them and fiddled with them a little (Costco.com photo albums...love it!) I have some good ones to choose from. Just another thing to check off my list, almost baby time!
