I mentioned in a prior post that lately I get a minimal amount of showers per week.
*
This is why...
In the 10 minutes it took me to take a quick shower the other night, Spike got a big ol' shiner right under his eye, and Atty (can't have wheat, gluten or DAIRY) got into some ones milk. Which will make for a long night and you don't even want to know what his digestive track will be like tomorrow (let alone his behavior). And no I did not leave them alone to fend for themselves, my husband was "watching" them.
My husband was also "watching them the other night when I left to have drinks (the Starbucks kind) with some friends. I rarely go out and this is why...as I am buckling my baby girl (note that I am still not going out alone) into her car seat I see motion out of the corner of my eye. I look up and there are two naked little boys running across my front yard. Normally I tell my husband to put the alarm on just to be safe, the one time I didn't, this is what happens. Good thing we hadn't pulled away yet because when I went screeching into the house dragging the boys behind me, my husband was in the kitchen, oblivious. His only redeeming factor was that he was washing the dishes.
*
So next time when I am complaining on here that I Never go out, and I Never get to take a shower...or even get a moment peace...now you know why.
*
...and yes I am feeling sorry for myself...sniff, sniff...and a tear...

It is the SAME WAY here!!!!!
Ca-razy!
I am meeting up with a friend I haven't seen since high school on Saturday and I, of course, have to take Grace with me. AND, I had to ASK my hubby to watch the kids (like he is babysitting or something). Nevermind that he goes bow hunting ALL THE FREAKING TIME and is going deer hunting for a WHOLE WEEK in two weeks. He was still annoyed that I would be gone for a few hours on Saturday. WTH????
And don't even get me started on minimal showers. I think I am lucky if I get two or three showers in a week. I'm so gross.
Kat, you get two or three showers a week, aren't you lucky... ;) The week of the black eye I had one, yah that's right, one shower for the whole week. Gross.
What is it with the Asking them to watch Their kids, drives me crazy! My husband will act annoyed sometimes when I take "too long" at the grocery store, which is sometimes my only time alone...that is if I actually get to go with out kids...
I have to admit though that sometimes he cleans the house while I am gone, so he's not all bad...on a good day. :)
Been there, done that...and yes it get's really old after awhile. Just try to keep you sense of humor through it because it was my saving grace! Hugs to you! Lori
You poor thing!!! I thought having a two year old watch you shower and offer to wash your back for you was bad (and kinda sweet) but i'd take an audience over not showering any day! At least I know he's not covering himself in permenant marker (which he did the other day.. oops!) or eating handfuls of halloween candy (which he also did the other day!)
Hope you get to shower in peace soon! Does bedtime work?
After bedtime use to work, but right now the baby gets fussy and there are still usually lots of household things that need to be done before the next day. Plus things to prep for childcare, preschool etc... that I fall into bed exhausted and can't imagine even attempting to take a shower at that point. At this time in my life when faced with the choice of smelling nice, or climbing into bed...I choose bed...sorry people. :)
I didn't pee alone for 14 and half years. And still counting.
